Armenia is a small landlocked country located in Transcaucasia. According to historical data, grapes are found to have originated in the territories of Asia Minor and the Armenian Uplands. The mountainous regions of Armenia and the Ararat Valley always have been wealthy of endemic grape varieties. According to enological data, winemaking in Armenia goes back six thousand years, and has made a great contribution to the world viniculture and winemaking process. The continental microclimate, annual three hundred sunny days, and the volcanic soils of Armenia stand out as the most important factors in the growth of indigenous fruits and berries. The bearings of Armenia have always been considered valuable components of food and beverage production due to their exceptional palatability and aroma.
Our product line includes a wide range of premium quality grape wines. All our products are produced and bottled in Armenia,in Vayots Dzor region,village Agavnadzor, according to traditional winemaking technology, using endemic Armenian grape of “Areni” sort. The specific vinification process of our wines preserves the olfactory and gustatory properties of fruits to their maximum. Thanks to active and hard work of our masters, "Matevosyan Wine" frequently appears with new brands in different categories of alcohol industry.
